1930s Influence On Fashion In The 70s

The 70s was such a fun decade with it's fashion flashbacks to the 30s and 40s.  The 1930s was a huge influence on 1970s fashions.  We enjoyed a wide variety of retro styles and the freedom to do your own thing.
The movie 'Bonnie and Clyde' starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty inspired us to go a little Gangsta and bring the 30s back to life in the fashions of the day
We loved Faye Dunaway's duds in Bonnie and Clyde, but hated it when Bonnie got perforated in the end.
What a waste of a beautiful dress!

Bonnie Parker in black with chevron striped bodice poses by their getaway car.

This vintage 70s full length black jersey gown has an updated version of the chevron bodice in Bonnie's dress.
What a fun and glamorous way to enjoy a slice of the past!

This little beauty is hiding out in 'My Vintage Closet'.  I'm hoping to eventually add her to my store:  Covet And Love It Vintage
